Steven Shawn Westhead, age 51, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Born July 17, 1973, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Shirley Faye Entrekin Taylor and the late Frederick Westhead, III.

Steven was a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School, attended technical school, and served a brief time in the United States Navy. He was an independent contractor as a flooring installation specialist in new construction and remodels. Steven was raised on the lake and was a lifeguard at Broadway Lake in his younger years. He loved the outdoors and was a talented carpenter. He was a friend and a mentor to many and would help anyone in need, even when it meant a sacrifice for himself. He will be fondly remembered for his big heart, his generous spirit, and his love for his family and friends.

In addition to his mother Shirley, he is survived by his siblings, Heather Cobb, Kerwren Dyar, Joyce Pirce, Fred Westhead, and Amanda Pruett; as well as other extended family.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 2:00-3:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:30 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Ed Hunsinger officiating.
