Stephen L. Christenbury, age 42, passed away on Sunday, January 17th, 2016. Born on February 9th, 1973, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Jeanette King Christenbury of Starr, SC and the late Stephen Doyle Christenbury. He was an avid Clemson Tigers and Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Stevie loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a member of West Anderson Church of God. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Pam Christenbury; a daughter, Kelsey Christenbury Wilson and her husband Justin; a son, Stephen Cy Christenbury, of the home; three step-daughters, Malloree Cocchia, Stephanie Major and her husband Cole, and Jennifer Milford and her husband Jared; sisters, Wanda Christenbury, and Shera Christenbury Holmes and her husband Buddy; grandchildren, Landyn and Emmytt Wilson; step-grandchildren, Lanee and Nellie Major and Zaiden Milford; nephews, Blake Holmes and his wife Amanda, Jay Holmes and his wife Candice, Chris Holmes and his wife Carla, and Chad Holmes and his wife Heather; a niece, Ricia Burns and her husband Eric; great-nephews, Tyler, Lucas, Wyatt, Gage, Caden and Gavin Holmes, Cameron Richey and Eli Burns; and great-nieces, Morgen, Laila, Taylor, Madison, and Elizabeth Holmes, and Abby Burns. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a great-niece, Emerie Anne Holmes. The Funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Mr. Christenbury will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Mark Daniel officiating. Interment will be held at Southlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the home of his mother and will receive friends on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at The McDougald Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
