Stewart Ralph Vickery, age 76, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born June 29, 1947, in Fair Play, SC, he was a son of the late Garland Vickery and Ruth Grant Vickery. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Edward, Haskel, and Forrest, Vickery.

Cotton's favorite pastimes included fishing, golfing, and walking. Most of all the time spent with his family brought him the greatest joy.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Elaine Gunter Vickery; daughter, Rhonda Lynn Vickery Strickland (Scott); brothers, Jimmy Vickery, Ansel Vickery, and Billy Vickery; sisters, Joann Smith, Harriet Peeples, and Glenda Saxon; grandchildren, Stewart Strickland (Heather), and Austin Strickland (Stephanie); and great grandchildren, Tyler Strickland and Elijah Strickland.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 12:00-12:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Dwayne Peeples officiating. Entombment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
