Bobbie Sue Walters Boyer, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at NHC of Anderson. Born in Hart County, GA on January 20, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Amos Albert Walters and the late Pearl Lavanda Smith Walters. She cherished time spent with her family and was loved by all who knew her. Sue was a very active member of Marshall Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Girl's High. Sue worked at Scott Manufacturing Company for many years, retiring as a supervisor and was active during the political season having worked at her election poll for many years. She is survived by her daughters, Donna B. Aronson, of Anderson, SC, Pamela S. Boyer, of Anderson, SC and Sharon Boyer, of Columbia, SC; a grandson, Joshua Boyer Aronson and his wife Mary Katherine, and their children, Anna Katherine and John Walters Aronson, and a grandson, Matthew Aronson, all of Atlanta, GA; a brother, Harvey Walters and his wife, Carolyn, of Isle of Palms, SC; two sisters, Janie Baker, of Anderson, SC and Mary Ann Marsh, and her husband Ray, of West Columbia, SC; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Donald Paul Boyer; a beloved son-in-law, John Arsonson; brothers, Alford and William Walters; and sisters, Henrietta Roper, Alma Brock, Emily Brock, and Edith Vickery. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charlie Brookshire and Reverend Kempie Shephard officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, prior to the service, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. The family wished to express their sincere gratitude for all those who cared for Mrs. Boyer during her time at NHC of Anderson.
