Maude Bernice "Sue" Phillips McAlister, age 92, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015. Born on January 22, 1923 in Central, SC, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Andrew Phillips and Maude Oates Phillips. Mrs. McAlister was a homemaker and member of Oakwood Baptist Church. Survivors include her children: Anita Fay Floyd of Indianapolis, IN, Malcolm Anthony McAlister MD of Anderson, SC, Philip Stanley McAlister and wife, Mary of Anderson, SC, Van Johnson McAlister and wife, Carol of Ballground, GA, and Don Allen McAlister and wife, Christian of Anderson, SC; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McAlister was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon J. McAlister, six brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren. The Graveside Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Memory Gardens in Clemson, SC officiated by Reverend Jeff Davis.
