SUSAN CORK MEADOWS ANDERSON, SC Susan Cork Meadows, age 80, passed away on October 24, 2013 at National Healthcare of Anderson. Born in Charleston, WV on May 26, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Edward C. Cork and the late Thelma Spencer Cork. She was a graduate of Peace College in Raleigh, NC. Susan worked in Administration for over 20 years with her brother-in-law, Dr. Andy Adams. She was a faithful member of New Life Christian Center and served on the board of Victory Life Church. One of her gifts was being a nurturing and spiritual friend to many, especially to her church family. She is survived by her brothers, Benjamin W. Cork and his wife, Helen and Andrew C. Cork and his wife Janet, all of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Mary-Louise Cork Hendrix, of Pleasant Hill, CA, Catherine Cork Adams and her husband Andy, of Anderson, SC, and Harriet Cork Holmes and her husband Michael of Marietta, GA; and two grandchildren, William M. Corbett and Matthew R. Corbett and their father, Jeff Corbett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Edward Meadows and her daughter, Catherine Meadows Corbett; and her brother-in-law, Delbert Hendrix. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kiki Tant officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A private family committal will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Scattering Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Life Christian Center, 603 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC 29625.
