Susan Van Der Werf, age 76, of Anderson, SC, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. Born December 10, 1945, in Maryville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Francis Joseph Van Der Werf and Virginia Gale Bomesberger Van Der Werf. Susan was a 7 year veteran of the United States Army serving in the Quarter Masters Corps. She was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. She was an animal lover with many cats and dogs and a gifted artist. She received her degree in commercial arts and especially enjoyed sketching and arts and crafts. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Van Der Werf. No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Anderson County Humane Society, 407 Pearman Dairy Rd, Anderson, SC 29625.
