IRENE HAMBY September 14, 1922 - June 2, 2006BELTON, SCMrs. Susie Irene Snipes Hamby, age 83, wife of Herman Eugene Hamby of 122 Ellison Street, Belton, SC, passed away Friday, June 2, 2006 at the Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Anderson, SC on September 14, 1922, Mrs. Hamby was a daughter of the late Dewitt Snipes and Edna McCurry Snipes. She was a homemaker and a member of Belton Church of God.Survivors include her husband of Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home; sons, Donny Hamby of Summerville and Ronny Hamby of Williamston; a brother, Frank Snipes of Belton; and a sister, Lila Mae Minyard of The Maples in Honea Path. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Hamby and a sister, Dorothy Martin.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Belton Church of God officiated by Dr. J. Charles Smith and Rev. Paul Herring. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories in Belton.Mrs. Hamby will be taken to her home, 122 Ellison Street, Belton where the family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday.
