Susie Herring Stewart, age 93, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Dominion Senior Living of Anderson. Born April 15, 1929, in Cromer, GA, she was a daughter of the late J.I. Herring and Bessie O'Kelly Herring. She was married to Odis Loyd Stewart until his death in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Carson. Susie loved to work in her yard and garden and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her daughter, Shelby Stewart Kuzyk of Estero, FL; brothers, Guy Herring and Bobby Herring both of Anderson, SC; 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 5, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Chaplain Deon Louw officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
