Swain Norris "Tripp" Thompson, III, 48, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 at his home. Born January 26, 1970, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of Betty Jo Nalley Thompson of Anderson, SC and the late Swain Norris Thompson, Jr. Tripp was a PFC in the United States Marine Corp. and later worked in real estate for Coldwell Banker. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Anderson. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Swain Norris "Dru", IV and Joseph Mostellar "Teller" Thompson and brother, Michael Thompson of Washington, DC. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, March 8, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday at First Baptist Church of Anderson, with Dr. James R. Thomason officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
