Widow of Frank C. Palmer, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Day and the late Ethel LeCroy Day.She was the beloved mother of Glenola Barth and husband Clyde, Vivian Charping and Cornelia Caldwell and husband, Kenny Marshall of Anderson, and a sister, Pauline Mercer and husband Allen of Haddock, GA. She was Granny to 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by son Richard Frank Palmer, daughter Dorothy Oakes and husband Bill, son-in-law, Jerry D. Charping, brothers Eugene, Paul and Bill Day and sister, Vadrew Alston.She was the oldest member of Dickson Memorial United Methodist Church in Townville, and a member of the United Methodist Women, and the Senior Adult Sunday School class.Funeral Services will be held in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 3:00 pm with the Revs. Paul Mitchell and Jerry James officiating. Burial will be in the Dickson Memorial UMC cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
