Sybil Taylor Rhinehart, age 88, of Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023, at The Garden House of Anderson.

Born January 30, 1935, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Terrell E. Taylor and Sara Geneva Laughter Taylor. She was married to Leon L. Rhinehart until his death in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, William Joseph Gary Taylor and Geraldine Taylor Coggins.

Sybil worked for many years with Dr. Ed Mattison and Dr. Ilg. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of a garden club and a member of Boulevard Baptist Church where she enjoyed volunteering in different ministries. She was also a volunteer at AnMed Medical Center and Hospice of the Upstate.

She is survived by her son, Darren Rhinehart; daughter, Sharon Rhinehart; and granddaughter, Emily Gooch (Adam Sitz).

A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Boulevard Baptist Church with Dr. Austin Carty and Dr. Jack Couch officiating.
