Mrs. Sybil Janet Martin Todd, age 96, of Anderson South Carolina and wife of the late Jack Stewart Todd passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025.

She was born in Anderson, SC, on October 24, 1929, and was one of three daughters born to the late James Rutledge Martin and Lottie Wright Martin.

Sybil retired after 45 years of teaching in the Greenville County Public School System in Greenville County, South Carolina. Sybil was very involved in Long Branch Baptist Church and Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She was also involved in the Women's Missionary Union and various other committees at both churches. At both churches she taught Sunday School, played the organ and sang in the choir. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, an international sorority for women educators.

Sybil is survived by her sister, Joan Martin Coker of Anderson, nieces: Sandra Simpson and Sally Brogan and nephew David Simpson along with many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Martin Simpson, brothers-in-law James Simpson and William Coker and nephew Donald Simpson.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Long Branch Baptist Church, 2101 SC 413, Anderson SC 20962 at 12 pm. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at Greenville Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Sanctuary of Long Branch Baptist Church before the funeral service on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm.
