Sybil Jean Shaw Vaughan, age 74, of Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, at her home. Born February 3, 1947, in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Alice Mae Shaw. She was married to Jerry Douglas Vaughan until his death in 2002. Sybil was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Edward Douglas Vaughan and Jeffrey Vaughan both of Anderson; daughters, Stella Herring, JoAnne Martin (Jarvis), Kathy Vernon, and Angela Phillips all of Anderson, SC; and sister, Barbara Pierce of Anderson, SC. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sara Graham; and brothers, Charles and Benny Shaw. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating. Flowers will be accepted.
