OBITUARY MRS. SYBLE SPEARES GUNNIN October 30, 1922 - October 5, 2006 MARION, SCMrs. Syble Speares Gunnin, age 83, formerly of Anderson, died on October 5, 2006 at the Conway Manor in Conway, South Carolina.Born in Anderson, SC on October 30, 1922, Mrs. Gunnin was the wife of the late Charlie C. Gunnin and a daughter of the late Homer Speares and Hettie Mae Biggs Speares. She was retired from textiles and was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church.Survivors include two sons, Charles C. Gunnin, Jr., and his wife, Dianne of Conway, SC and Ken Gunnin and his wife, Cindy of Marion, SC; four grandchildren: Tammy G. McAlister and her husband, Andy of Waycross, GA, Paige G. Benton and her husband, Keith of Moncks Corner, SC, Charles C. Gunnin, Jr. and his wife, Kelly of Summerville, SC and Julie Lane Gunnin of Marion, SC and Charleston, SC; two brothers, Clifton Speares and Rob Speares, both of Anderson, SC; three sisters, Ruby Craft, Betty Jean Burdette and Opal Finley, all of Anderson, SC. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Speares.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2006 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Bennie Speares.
