Syble Ham Perry Piedmont, SC Syble Ham Perry, age 92, formerly of Piedmont, SC, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Eden Terrace Assisted Living, Spartanburg, SC. Born in Iva, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Oscar Ham and the late Betty Evans Ham. Syble was a graduate of Iva High School and worked for Sears for over 25 years. She was active in the Bonnes Amies Club in Piedmont, SC. She was a member of Piedmont United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Women's Group. She is survived by her children, Joe Perry and his wife Pamela, of Piedmont, SC; Cindy Smith and her husband Tom, of Spartanburg, SC and Jane Kitzrow and her husband Jay, of Salisbury, MD; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. "Dick" Perry; three brothers, Marion, Olin and Mack Ham; and two sisters, Evelene Willingham and Ruth Greenway. Following a private family committal at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, a memorial service will be held at Piedmont United Methodist Church on Friday, February 21, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Justin Gilreath officiating. The family will gather for a time of visitation following the service at the church. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Eden Terrace Assisted Living and Regency Hospice for the love and care shown to Syble during her time with them.
