Highway 81, Anderson, SC, wife of the late Donald W.Carnes, died Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.Born in Anderson, SC on March 25, 1940, Mrs. Carnes was the daughter of the late Sara Taylor. She was retired from Belk Department Store and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.She is survived by a son, Richard Carnes and his wife, Suzanne Jones Carnes; a daughter, Suzanne Slacas and her husband, William, and granddaughter, Sydney Slacas, all of Anderson. A brother-in-law, Randy Carnes of Greenwood, SC also survives.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Tom Turner. Interment will follow in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 16, 2006 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
