Sylvia Ann McDonald Dooley, age 80, took the Lord's hand on Thursday, November 16, 2023, as He stretched out His hand and said welcome home my good and faithful servant.

Born May 25, 1943, in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Sam McDonald and Lousey Elizabeth Chastain McDonald. She was married to C.J. Dooley until his death in 2011, whom she missed so much. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Edith Tucker, Mary Stanton, Pearl Pruitt, and Loretta Lewis.

She was a member of Bible Deliverance Church. She loved the Lord and cherished her children, church family, and late son-in-law, Tony Burkett. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Dooley; daughter, Dorothy "Dot" Burkett; brothers, Gordon McDonald, David McDonald, and Harold McDonald; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens for immediate family and church members. Rev. Carolyn Brown will officiate.
