Ted B. McCullough, 85, of Iva, SC, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at his home with his family by his side. Born November 2, 1931, in Anderson County, SC, he was a son of the late Louis B. McCullough and the late Kathleen Wiles McCullough. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and for 28 years he served in the South Carolina National Guard. He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas with over 38 years of service. He was Iva's first fire chief, a member of the Iva Masonic Lodge No. 238 AFM, a faithful member of Union Baptist Church and was an avid farmer. Ted is survived by his wife of 16 years, Joyce Hayes McCullough; children, Teddy McCullough (Debra), Marion McCullough, Karen McMullan (Rick) and Bryan McCullough (Jill); daughter-in-law, Deirdre McCullough; stepdaughters, Kathy Ferguson (Terry) and Lynn Mayfield; grandchildren, Heather Grindstaff (Ted), Dana Braznell (Andy), Jared McMullan (AshleyAnne), Adam McMullan, Jordan O'Quinn (Chris), Raegan McCullough, Grayson McCullough, Marlee Pepper (Chris), Jenna McCullough and Mark McCullough and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jean Woodson McCullough; sons, Ronald Eugene McCullough and Dan McCullough and brother, Max McCullough. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends from 2- 4:30 pm Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Union Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 5:00 pm with Pastor Mike McMillion and Rev. Dr. Bobby Jones officiating. Burial with masonic rites and military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
