Ted Christopher Morton, age 69, of Anderson, SC, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Magnolia Manor of Greenville.

Born July 23, 1954, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late David O. Morton and Dorothy "Dot" Bryant Morton. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Kerry L. Morton.

Ted loved his hometown and especially loved Lake Hartwell. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a coin and knife collector. Ted was devoted to his family and loved them all dearly, and he had a special place in his heart for his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo McKenzie Morton; son, David C. Morton (Kendra) of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Jan L. Gantner (Jonathan) of Anderson, SC; brother, Gregg A. Morton; and grandchildren, Jadan Gantner and McKenzie Gantner of Anderson, SC, Harrison, Hayden, and Hudson Morton of Atlanta, GA.
