TED PUTNAM August 23, 1934 - July 2, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Ted Putnam, age 77, of 130 Victorian Drive, Anderson, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Greenville, SC he was the son of the late James R. Putnam and the late Elizabeth Wood Putnam. He worked for Welborn Shoes for over 25 years before retiring from the shoe department at Gallant-Belk. He was a member of Toxaway United Methodist Church. He worshiped at New Prospect Baptist Church for many years. Ted is survived by his sons, Conrad Putnam and his wife Patsy of Belton and Mark Putnam and his wife Debbie of Anderson; sisters, Annie Laura Rice of Boiling Springs and Maxine Strickland of Starr; three grandchildren, Kyle, Josh and Nick Putnam; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Wanda Boggs Putnam. The Funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Putnam will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 11:00am with Dr. Tony Smith officiating. Private interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00am until 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church, 2503 Whitehall Road, Anderson, SC 29625.
