TED SMITH March 3, 1933 - July 29, 2012 Ted Carlton Smith, age 79, husband of Margaret Smith, of 1610 Levis Smith Road, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Briscoe Smith and the late Oveline Hayes Smith. Ted proudly served his country in the Naval Air Force from 1951 until 1955. He was the owner of Smith's Heating and Air Conditioning Company until he retired in 1998. He was the Past Master and a lifetime member of the Masons. He was a member of the American Legion in Pendleton, the Elks Club in Lake Wales, FL, Shriners and Palmetto Hiriams Camping Club. He is survived by his loving wife; a brother, Tommy Coy Smith of Pendleton; and one grandchild, Richard Orie Smith of Pendleton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Dale Smith; a daughter, Patricia Lynn Smith; and a nephew, Ian Tory Smith. The family is at the residence and will receive friends on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at The McDougald Funeral Home. The Service will follow in the Chapel at 11:00 am with Reverends Ray Thompson and Harry Warren officiating.
