Teresa Smith Hatcher of Anderson, South Carolina, was born on May 27, 1957, and entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. She was welcomed into eternal rest by her father, Ronald Lee Smith, and her sister, Shannon Smith Hamilton.

Teresa is lovingly remembered by her mother Tommie Williams Smith; her daughter, Meredith Burgueno, and son-in-law, Marco Burgueno; her sister, Allison Hungate; her brothers-in-law, Vince Hungate and Tracy Hamilton; as well as her ten nieces and nephews and ten great-nieces and great-nephews. Her legacy lives on most dearly through her beloved grandchildren, Evi and Marco Burgueno, who cherished their “Nana Teesa” with all their hearts.

Teresa was known for her kind and loving spirit. She enjoyed watching crime shows and listening to her favorite pastors on TBN, often engaging others in thoughtful conversations about what she had learned. She also had a remarkable sense of humor and delighted in sharing her “big tales,” bringing laughter to those around her. Above all, Teresa treasured her role as “Nana Teesa”. She was immensely proud of her grandchildren and found great joy in spending time with them and listening to their “big tales”.

A private service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
