Phillips, of 64 Joe Dunn Road, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2009 at her residence.Born in Anderson, SC on May 14, 1950, Mrs. Phillips was a daughter of the late Roy D. Nichols and Eleanor Arnold Nichols. She was a former employee with the Anderson Country Club and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.In addition to her husband of the home, she is survived by her son, Tommy Joe Ford, Jr., and his wife, Leigh Anne of Alpharetta, GA; her daughter, Brandy Ford Hunter and her husband, Vernon Gray of Iva; sisters, Mallie Louise Dillman of Williamston and Betty Jean Collins of Pendleton; six grandchildren, Ashton Clark of Ozark, AL, Olivia and Katelyn Ford of Alpharetta, GA, Lyndsey, Mike and Ryan Baucom of Iva; numerous special nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her first husband and close friend, Tommy Joe Ford, Sr.She was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Ray Nichols and a sister, Evelyn Faye Dooley.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Frank Dooley.
