Teresa Joann Burgess Standridge, age 63, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

Born July 11, 1961, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Crawford Burgess and Frances Bowling Burgess.

Teresa was a loving, kind woman who was devoted to her family. She loved her babies and her fur babies. She would rescue any and all animals in need if she could. She had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. She enjoyed gardening and collecting seashells on the beach. Teresa was loved by so many and will be missed so much.

She is survived by her husband, James Christopher Standridge; son, Kristopher "Cody" Brown (Adriana Blume); daughters, Cortney Bean and Hannah Standridge; brother, James Thomas "Buddy" Burgess; grandchildren, Luke Sharp (Katlyne Powell), Katie Wade, Kastyn Williams, and Mattox Williams; and great grandson, Lukas Sharp.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 12:30-1:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Mike Bowling officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
