WRIGHT September 18, 1939 - November 22, 2009BELTON, SCTeresa Jamieson Wright, age 70, wife of Elbridge J. 'E.J.' Wright, Jr., departed this life on Sunday, November 22, 2009, near Wright Elementary School in the home where she lived for the last forty-one years.Born in Abbeville County on September 18, 1939, Mrs. Wright was the daughter of the late Eugene and Lucille Jamieson. Before her marriage to Mr. Wright, she was a resident of Pendleton for twenty years. She was an active member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and former co-leader of the 'Happy Agers'. She was also a regular visitor for the 'shut-ins' of the church. She was a faithful member of the WELCOME Sunday School Class as long as her health permitted. In addition to her church activities, she was a member of the Anderson County Board of Registration and Elections for twenty years where she served several terms as chairperson. Teresa also served as a Hospice Volunteer'Hers was a useful and well-spent life. She taught all those around her by her example. She was a good Christian woman, faithful to her husband and friends. She lives in the hearts of all who knew her!!!In addition to her husband of the home, she is survived by a brother, Billy 'Red' Jamieson (Jane); sisters-in-law, Irene W. Deason (Jack), Caroline Jamieson and Evelyn Jamieson; brothers-in-law; Billy H. Wright (Emily) Ben C. Wright (Annette); nieces; Laura Elaine Jamieson (Tommy Price), Shari Bobo (Brent), Beverly Giavendoni (Ernie); Nancy Combs (David), Melanie Stecz (Scott), Melissa King (Paul Bristol), Julia Billington (John), Jennifer Boyer; nephews, Benjamin C. Wright Jr., (Nancy), Dave Kelly (Elizabeth), David Sumner (Angela) and David Combs (Nancy), Gene Jamieson (Cathy), Jeff Jamieson (LuAnn), and John H. Jamieson, Sr., (Molly). Also surviving are great nieces and great nephews, Katie, Christopher and Patrick Jamieson, Sara Grace and Rose Giavendoni, Mary Louise King, John Taylor and Anna Clara Jamieson, William and Mark Billington, John Henry Jamieson, Jr., Julia Jamieson, Toni and Alyn Boyer, Matthew Bobo, Troy Griffis, Carson, Brandon and Preston Stecz, Jeremy and Jared Combs, Joshua Sumner, Alan Kelly, Erin Kelly, Hailey Sumner, Lauren Wright and Jessica Wright. She was predeceased by two brothers, William Henry and Harry Rudolph Jamieson and a nephew, Richard Michael Jamieson.PAGE TWO OBITUARY FOR: Teresa WrightThe Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 2:30 pm at Mount Bethel Baptist Church, Due West Highway with the Reverend Landrum Reece and Reverend Dr. Ron Culbertson officiating with remarks by Ronald P. Townsend. Interment will follow in Barker's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in the Wright Family Plot located on Highway 252, toward Honea Path, SC.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
