Terry Gene Garrison, 79, of Anderson, SC passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.

Born on January 5, 1947, in Peoria, Illinois, he was the beloved son of the late Eugene K. Garrison and the late Edith J. Stanley Garrison.

Terry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, a formative period that shaped his lifelong values of dedication, honor, and duty. Following his military service, he built a distinguished career at Caterpillar, where he worked with unwavering loyalty and strong work ethic for 31 years before his retirement.

As a devoted Christian man, his commitment to his belief guided his actions, and he was known by friends and neighbors for his steady, dependable nature and kind spirt.

Terry's greatest joy was his family. He shared a beautiful life and marriage with his beloved wife, Lucrecia L. Garrison, who survives him. He also was a loving father to his children Matthew Garrison and Rebecca Mishra and her husband Shashank and devoted himself to his grandson, Aviraj Mishra. He also is survived by two sisters, Janet L. Gray and Deborah Kuhn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Edith and a brother, Larry L. Garrison.

A celebration of Terry's life will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at The McDougald Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Rev. Mark Gasque and Rev. Matthew Cogswell will officiate. A committal service to include military honors will be held at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
