Born in Pickens, SC he was the son of the late Calvin Patterson and Dorothy Waldrop Pierce of Slabtown, SC. He was a forklift operator. He is survived by his mother; brothers, Robert Waldrop and his wife, Betty of Townville, SC, Billy Patterson of Greenville, SC; sister, Edna Massingale and her husband, Danny of Slabtown, SC, Marian Nalley and her husband, David of Townville, SC; one granddaughter, Brianna Lopez of Aiken, SC. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany Patterson. The family is at their respective homes.
