Terry Dean Richey, age 66, husband of Vivian T. Richey for 40 years passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Anderson Area Medical Center. Born on August 10, 1949, he was the son of the late Jerry Max Richey and Eva Nell Smith Richey. He graduated from McDuffie High School in 1967, then attended Furman University majoring in Business and graduated in 1973. He worked as a textile manager in the textile industry where he later retired. He attended Bishop Branch Baptist Church. He was an avid University of Georgia Bulldogs fan. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Alissa Richey of Atlanta, GA, Allyson Terry (Troy) of Simpsonville, SC and Amanda Lamar (Shane) of New Bern, NC; a son, Alex Richey of Anderson, SC; a brother, Tony Richey (Melody) of Anderson, SC; and grandchildren, Ethan, Sydney, Cooper, Sophie and Natalie. A memorial service celebrating the life of Terry will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30th, 2015 in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend C.W. Hicks officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Flowers are optional and memorials can be made in honor of Terry to the charity of one's choice.
