TERRY WATSON WELBORN June 24, 1949 - August 11, 2012 Terry Watson Welborn of Anderson passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2012 and AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Watson Howard "Pete" Welborn and the late Katie Sue Osley Welborn. Mr. Welborn was retired from Auto Zone where he served for many years as a Customer Service Representative. He was a student and resident at the Connie Maxwell Children's Home in Greenwood for several years, and was a 1967 graduate of T. L. Hanna High School. He served his country, having spent four years in the US Marine Corps. Survivors include 3 daughters, Amy Torchia of Augusta, GA, and Lindsay Welborn and Lauren Welborn, both of Anderson; a brother, Larry Welborn of Columbia; and a sister, Suzanne Spencer of Jacksonville, FL. Also surviving is his step-mother, Ethel Welborn of Anderson, and three grandsons, Matthew, Marcus, and Camden. In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Welborn. The family and close friends will have a private Celebration of Terry's life at a later time. The family suggests that memorials be made in memory of Terry Welborn to the Connie Maxwell Children's Home, PO Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29648-1178.
