Thelma E. Elrod Anderson, SC Thelma Edwards Morgan Elrod, age 90, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 5, 2015 at NHC in Mauldin. Born on August 28, 1924 in Oconee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas Edwards and the late Berta Thomas Edwards. She is retired from Clemson University "Camp Hope" as the head cook and was best known for her brownies. Thelma was a member of Concord Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class. She is survived by her children, Ronnie Morgan, of Central, SC, Zemily Gilbert and her husband Michael, of Anderson, SC and Teresa Sharpe, of Anderson, SC; a brother, Bill Edwards, of Seneca, SC; a sister, Lorene Powell, of Toccoa, GA; seven grandchildren, Allison Sharpe, Lindsay Cain, Matt Morgan, Melissa Emery, Jennifer Powell, Jonathan Gilbert, and Jeremy Gilbert; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis W. Morgan; her second husband, William A. Elrod; two sisters and three brothers. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Randy Blank officiating. Interment will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, at the funeral home, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Zemily Gilbert, 103 Whisper Lane, Anderson, SC 29621. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Concord Baptist Church, 1012 Concord Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
