Harward, age 84, wife of the late Jesse H. Harward, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at the Rainey Hospice House.Born in Anderson County on September 5, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Gary Whitman and Eula Holmes Whitman. She was a homemaker.Survivors include her children: Ellen Beebe and husband, Jack of Townville, J.C. Harward of Anderson, and Dorothy Whitten and husband, Samuel of Starr; sisters: Hazel Campbell of Iva, Parniece Anderson of Anderson, Sylvene Keown of Starr, and Christine Anderson of Mississippi; brother, Coleman Whitman of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren: Dwayne Cobb, Tammy Meredith, Shannon Attaway, and Chris Whitten; and eight great grandchildren.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Monday, April 5, 2010. A Graveside Service will follow at 3:30 pm at New Silver Brook Cemetery conducted by the Reverend Sam Duncan.The family is at the home of Samuel & Dorothy Whitten, 141 Williford Road, Starr.
