Vassar, died Friday, July 18, 2008 at Brookside Living Center.Born in Anderson County, SC, on January 15, 1922, Mrs. Vassar was a daughter of the late William David Tilley and Odessa Willis Tilley. She was a retired textile employee and a member of Orrville Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister, Evelyn Stone.Two sisters, Virginia Dunn and Rosa Nell Hilton and a brother, Lottis Tilley preceded her in death.A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at 3:00 pm at New Silver Brook Cemetery officiated by the Reverend Ed Hunsinger. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.The family will be at the home of her niece, Norma Crumley, 801 W. Market Street, Anderson, SC.
