Hooper, age 70 of 939 Highway 413, Belton, SC, husband of the late Imogene Whitworth Hooper, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson, SC on January 7, 1937, Mr. Hooper was a son of the late Dale Hooper and Minnie Lee Pierce Hooper. He was retired from True Temper after 30 years of service and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.Survivors include his sons: Anthony SA'an Hooper and his wife, Renee of Belton; Malan Dion Hooper and his wife, Mary; Dennis Martin Hooper and his wife, Vivian, all of Anderson; brothers, David Hooper and his wife, Joyce and Alfred Hooper and his wife, Edna, all of Anderson and Ezekiel Hooper and his wife, Lorraine of Surf Side, SC; sisters, Alene Dixon of North Carolina, Gaynell Kay and her husband, Marvin of Belton and Adell Medlin and her husband, Junior of Rock Hill; five grandchildren, Dion Hooper of Nashville, TN, Dudley Hooper, Matthew Hooper, Bailey Hooper and Sarah Hooper, all of Anderson.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Hooper.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 3:00 pm at Pleasant View Baptist Church, 2511 Dobbins Bridge Road, with the Reverend Dr. Glenn Taylor officiating.
