'Buddy' Sanders, age 83, of 105 Fieldcrest Drive, died Sunday, March 25, 2007 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Hart County, GA on December 26, 1923, Mr. Sanders was a retired employee of Independent Life Insurance Company and owner and operator of Highway 24 Mini Storages. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson and the Baracca Sunday School Class.Surviving are his widow of 63 years, Edna O'Barr Sanders of Anderson; son, Michael W. Sanders and his wife, Lucy Sanders; daughter, Daphne Singleton and her husband, Edward F. Singleton; four grandchildren, Stacy Sanders, Martin Sanders, Penny Argo and Kim Perkins. Six great-grandchildren also survive. He was the son of the late Holcomb and Lillie Mae Ayers Sanders. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Guynell Gilstrap and Etrulia McCurley.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Jerry Hayes and Joe Argo. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.Flowers are optional.
