He was the retired co-owner of Durham Brothers Used Cars in Pendleton, SC. He was a United States Army World War II Veteran and a member of the American Legion. He attended Faith Fellowship in Pendleton, SC.Survivors include his wife, Edith Kelly Durham of the home; a daughter, Joyce Porter and her husband, Don of Pendleton, SC; a brother, Calvin Durham of Pendleton, SC; a sister, Marie Swaney of Pendleton, SC; two grandsons, Jason and Jeff Powell and three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Brantley and Hunter Powell.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Drayton Durham and two sisters, Lula Mae Shults and Susie Riley.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 2:30 pm at Faith Fellowship in Pendleton officiated by the Reverend Jimmy Cox. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Clemson, SC.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Mr. Durham will be placed in the church at 1:30 pm on Wednesday.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
