He was retired from the Western Carolina Regional Sewer System in Greenville, SC. He was a United States Air Force Vietnam veteran retiring with 20 years of service and was a member of Varennes Heights Baptist Church.In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by a son, Thomas Lee Slaton, Jr., of Magnolia, DE; daughter, Teresa Laine Tracey of Dayton, OH; step-sons, Jason Goolsby, Jamie Goolsby and his wife, Dawn Brown Goolsby and Joshua Goolsby and his wife, Christy Byrum Goolsby, all of Anderson, SC; brother, Paul Allen Slaton, Jr., of Pendleton, SC; sister, Jean Gosnell of Pelzer, SC and nine grandchildren.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Kirt Mitchell.
