Timothy Ray Burns, 51, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at his home. Born August 2, 1969 in Anderson, he was the son of the late Kenneth Lee Burns and Delores Godfrey Burns. Tim was a graduate of BHP High School and Tri-County Technical College. He was a master fabricator and welder employed with Griffin Thermal Products. Tim loved his chickens and goats and hunting but what he especially loved was his family and helping others. If you saw Tim, he always had a smile on his face. He is survived by his daughter, Anna Burns; grandson, Drayton Crompton; brothers, Rusty Burns (Mary) and Larry Burns; sisters, Vicky Dyar (Reuben), Brenda Burns and Donna Chastain (Dennis); best friends, Eric Burns, Tracy Harper and Michael Dyar; mother of his daughter, Leah Brown; special friend, Michelle Morgan; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Terry Burns. Family and friends may pay their respects and sign the Guest Register on Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 10:00am to 5:00pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 20th at 2:00 pm at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Benny Dyar and Pastor Scott Burdette officiating. Social distancing will be observed and those attending the graveside are encouraged to bring a chair. Flowers will be accepted.
