Ernestine Victoria "Tina" Gambrell, age 94, of Anderson, SC, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, July 21, 2023, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born February 22, 1929, in Clinton, TN, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lola Rosa Swaney Fowler and her stepfather, James Lewis "Dick" Hicks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J. F. Gambrell; a daughter, Karen Erwin, two sisters and four brothers. She was retired from the medical industry, having worked as a nursing assistant with the Anderson Area Medical Center. Tina loved her family dearly and was devoted to her cats. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Larry W. Richardson, and Tommy Richardson; a daughter, Phyllis Kaiser, seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; two stepsons, Gregory Gambrell and Jeffrey Gambrell. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 12 to 1 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at South Lawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. David Forro officiating.
