Tommie McKee Abbeville, SC Tommie Ellen Boggs McKee, age 81, of Abbeville, SC, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC, on August 14, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Tom David and the late Ruby Wells David. She worked at Abney Mills for 26 years and retired from Schmid Pharmaceutical in 1994. She was a volunteer for Hospice of the Upstate for 2 years. Tommie was a member of Truth Tabernacle Church in Starr, SC. She is survived by her loving husband, Lang McKee; her children, Frank Boggs and his wife Mary, and Patty Spake and her husband Mike, all of Anderson, SC; step-children, Michael Ray McKee and his wife Laurie, of Iva, SC and Lisa Wood, of Anderson, SC; a sister, Virginia Wells and her husband Vance, of Anderson, SC; four grandchildren, Alyson Burriss and her husband Jonathan, Shane Spake, Jordan Boggs and Carrie Boggs; six step-grandchildren, Jennifer Maxwell and her husband David, Kerri Powell, Kevin McKee and his wife Sally, Nicole Kyker and her husband Will, Shelby King and Aaron King. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Boggs. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Truth Tabernacle Church with Reverend Phil Keown and Reverend Hudson White officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church, prior to the service on Thursday, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621 or to Truth Tabernacle Church, 8103 Hwy 81 South, Starr, SC 29684.
