SCOTTJANUARY 10, 1946 - FebrUARY 7, 2009ANDERSON, SC ' Tommie Burris Scott, age 63, of 109 Camellia Drive, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2009, at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson, SC, on January 10, 1946, he was the son of the late Donnie Burris Scott and Stella Richey Scott. He was a 1964 graduate of T.L. Hanna High School and was a Supervisor with Harper Construction in Greenville, where he had been employed for over forty years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Landmark Freewill Baptist Church where he was very instrumental in the construction of the existing church. He also served in the National Guard.Survivors include his wife, Geraldine 'Gerrie' Trakas Scott of the home; daughters: Parrish S. Chappell of Anderson and April Acker and husband, Eric Acker of Anderson; son, Russell 'Rusty' Scott of Anderson; sister, Jean Hawkins and husband, Pete Hawkins of Anderson; four grandchildren: Heather & Courtney Chappell and Addie & Scottie Acker.The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2009, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Danny Keen and the Reverend James Coley. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, February 9, 2009, at the funeral home.The family is at the home of a daughter, April Acker, 401 Loblolly Drive, Anderson.Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Landmark Freewill Baptist Church, 128 Camellia Drive, Anderson, SC 29625.
