Tommy Ray Fortner, age 61, of Anderson, SC, went to his Heavenly home on Monday, July 26, 2021. Born December 15, 1959, in Anderson, he was the son of the late Arthur Glenn Fortner and Linda Wallace Fortner. Tommy was a 1978 graduate of Westside High School, a graduate of Tri-County Technical College and was the owner of Anderson Insurance. He was a great provider for his family, a friend to many, and took care of those in need. Tommy served his Lord and Master and was a member of Trinity Springs Church of God. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Cathy Vollrath Fortner; son, Chris Fortner (Lee Ann); grandchildren, Ans-Lee Fortner Cordell (Trey) and Hunter Fortner; and brother, Anthony "Tony" Fortner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Brittany Marie Fortner. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 29, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. Mr. Fortner will be placed in the sanctuary of Trinity Springs Church of God at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 30, 2021, and the funeral service will follow 2:00 pm with Rev. James Petty and Rev. Terry Bailey officiating. The committal service will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Rev. Allen Black officiating.
