GRAY ANDERSON, SC Tommy Owen Gray, age 76, husband of Myrna Kay Gray, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 17, 2014 at his residence. Born in Anderson County, SC on February 7, 1937 he was the son of the late Thomas Gray and the late Birdie Owen Gray. Mr. Gray had retired from LaFrance Mill with 46 years of service; he was a member of the LaFrance Church of God. He enjoyed playing golf and going to yard sales. He is survived by his wife of the home; three daughters, Vicki Gibson (Eugene) of Townville, SC, Susan Gibson (Ricky) and Leigh Dodson (Joe) of Six Mile, SC; stepsons, Rickey Womble (Jackie) of Pendleton, SC and Scott Womble (Donna) of Fernandina Beach, FL; stepdaughter, Wendy Groomes (Chris) Spartanburg, SC; brother, Sam Gray of Westminister, SC; sisters, Aunt Carol Todd of Sandy Springs, SC, Jackie Black of LaFrance, SC and Gail Richey of Pendleton, SC; grandchildren, Leighann Watson, Billy Gibson, Aaron Gibson, Kevin Gibson, Amanda Lay, Charlie Gibson, Susan Odean Cruz, Jo Leigh Dodson; step grandchildren, Jodi Merritt, Brandon Groomes, Blake Groomes, Shaun Groomes, Kala Dodson, Whitney Dodson, Tyler Womble, Avery Womble and Megan Womble and twenty-five great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be: Mark Black, Levi Durham, Aaron Gibson, Billy Gibson, Kevin Gibson, Shaun Groomes and Kyle Merritt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Gray; sisters, Mary Black, Monteen Arflin and Joan Simpson; grandson, Alan Owen Brewer. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 3:00 pm at LaFrance Church of God with the Reverend Roger Allison officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Clemson. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm prior to the service. The family will be at the residence.
