Tonia Bowles, age 48, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born March 28, 1978, in Flint, Michigan, she was the daughter of Becky Jean Richardson and Lanier Richardson (stepdad) and Donald Mike Livingston. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth Martin, June Martin, Lottie Fitzko, and Vanus Livingston; mother-in-law, Cindy Grant; and uncle, Gregory Martin.

She worked as an assistant manager at Burger King. Tonia loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She loved her family and spending time together at family reunions. She also enjoyed loving on her potbelly pig, Pigsly and pit bull, Loki. Tonia was a huge fan of the University of Michigan. She loved to travel and visit Michigan with her Mom and Dad Lanier, and always make a stop at Cracker Barrell for her biscuits and gravy.

She is survived by her husband, Jason Bowles; stepdaughter, Ty-Anna Bowles; brothers, Jason Richardson (Missy) and Jamie Richardson (Tonya); sisters, Tammy Jones (Adger Bolden) and Traci Delli Veneri (Thomas Liddell) and numerous other family members.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Greenville Memorial for the endless care, Prisma North Campus in Travelers Rest, Tonia’s therapists, Morgan, Candice, and Richard at Reedy River, and last but not least Rainey Hospice House.
