Tony Michael Fields, 72, of Anderson, died on March 31, 2021 at his residence. Known as "Mater", he was a son of the late Andrew Fields and Hazel Daniels Fields. He was a member of Restoration House, formerly Rocky River Worship Center. Born August 4, 1948 in Anderson County, SC, he worked in maintenance for several years and had also worked at a local motorcycle shop. Not only did he buy and sell cars, but he enjoyed restoring old cars and motorcycles. He owned several motorcycles and loved to ride. Mater was a family man and loved everyone. He was known for always helping others with generosity and compassion. His big heart will be missed. Mater is survived by his wife, Sylvia Turpin Fields; children, Teresa F. Taylor (fianc Jason Fleming) of Anderson, Lisa Fields (Travis Stewart) of Williamson, Travis Fields (Agnes) of Oceanside, CA, and April Wilson of Gaffney; siblings, Ronnie Fields of Tennessee, Elaine Ashley of Belton, Frank Fields of Danielsville, Ga, and Diane Ellett of Honea Path; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jason Fields. The family will receive friends, Monday, April 5, 2021 from 6 pm - 8 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 2 pm at Restoration House with Rev. David Hudgens and Rev. Chris Jarrard officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories, Belton, SC.
