TONY SWANEY October 27, 1957 - April 12, 2012 PENDLETON, SC Tony Lee Swaney, age 54, of 113A Candi Drive, passed away on April 12, 2012. Born in Anderson, he was the son of the late Hoke Lee Swaney and Betty Davis Swaney of Pendleton. Tony was employed as an engineer with Clemson Research in Pendleton, SC. He was an avid hunter. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons, Andy Swaney and Buck Swaney, both of Anderson; daughters, Leah Burdette of the home and Nikki Pittman of Belton; bothers, Mike Swaney, Ricky Swaney, William Swaney, and Daren Swaney; sisters, Cissy Duncan, Jenny Hix, and Sunshine Swaney; Four grandchildren, Breanna, Austin, Zachary and Kris. Funeral services will be held at The East Clemson Christian Fellowship, Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 2:00pm with Reverend Dennis Parker and Reverend Josh Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at The Fants Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family is at the home of his mother, 704 Swaney Lane, Pendleton, SC 29670 and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, April, 14, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
