The McDougald Funeral Home 2211 North Main Street Anderson, South Carolina 29621 864-224-4343 OBITUARY: ANDERSON, SC TONYA CALDWELL BRIGHT April 30, 1966 - December 29, 2012 Tonya Lynn Caldwell Bright, age 46, of 507 Eskew Circle, passed away peacefully at the Cobb Health Care Center in Comer, GA, on Saturday, December 29, 2012. Born in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of Mrs. Cathy Collins Caldwell of Moncks Corner, SC, and the late Taska S. Caldwell. For 25 years she was the loving and devoted wife of Arthur N. Bright, Jr. of the residence. Mrs. Bright was a graduate of Goose Creek High School and attended two years at Tri-County Tech where she was preparing to be a nurse. She served as a secretary at the Mental Health Center in Anderson, and later was a secretary at Hospice of the Upstate. Tonya was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. In addition to her mother and husband, Mrs. Bright is survived by a son, A. J. Bright of the residence; 3 step daughters, Joyce Fike of Boca Raton, FL, Star Saunders (Rod) of Charleston, SC, and Jennifer Pease (Jeremy) of Prattville, AL; a brother, Danny Caldwell (Amanda) of Hampton, GA; 4 step-grandchildren, Brittany Nicole and Alia Lynn Pease, Todd Page, and Christopher Fike. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Tonya Bright will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at 7 PM at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 PM until 6:30 PM.
