Trannie W. Sorrow Anderson, SC Trannie Whitlock Sorrow, age 84, widow of Reverend William Hoyt Sorrow, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at her daughter's home in Dillard, GA. Born in Aiken County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Henry Whitlock and the late Annie Lou Fulmer Whitlock. She was a graduate of Holmes Theological Seminary in Greenville, SC. For 31 years, she was a social worker for the state of South Carolina. Trannie was a charter member of North Anderson Pentecostal Holiness Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Williamson and her husband Henry; a daughter-in-law, Laurie Sorrow; two grandchildren, Hank and Hannah Williamson; a brother, Emery Lee Whitlock and his wife Alice; and a sister, Mary Bennett. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Hoyt Sorrow. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at North Anderson Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverend J. Floyd Stansell officiating. Interment will follow at Old Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
