TRAVIS CARLTON THOMPSON September 2, 1932 - July 5, 2006BELTON, SCMr. Travis Carlton Thompson, age 73, of 219 Bannister Street, died Wednesday, July 05, 2006 at the Hospice House in Anderson, SC.Born in Cherokee County, GA on September 2, 1932, Mr. Thompson was a son of the late James Oliver Thompson and Nettie Reed Thompson. He was a retired free-lance carpenter and painter and was of the Church of God Faith. Survivors include sons, Carlton R. Thompson and Billy J. Thompson, both of Belton, SC; daughters, Lois M. Burdette of Anderson, SC, Betty Jean Brock of Belton, SC and June Marie Meredith of Anderson, SC; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He had eighteen brothers and sisters.In addition to his parents, a daughter, Joann Pamphilon, preceded him in death..The Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 7, 2006 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Sam Duncan. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 7, 2006 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.The family will be at the residence.
