Trent William Black, age 15, of 194 Winfred Brock Road, Iva, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born on July 18, 2000, in Anderson, he was the son of Kimberly Pace of the home and the late Timothy Sean Black. Trent was a student at Provost Academy and was a member of First Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing video games and listening to music. In addition to his mother, Trent is survived by a brother, Sean Douglas Black (Bailee) of Duncan, SC; a sister, McKayla C. Black of Anderson; paternal grandmother, Martha Black of Iva; maternal grandparents, Douglas and Sherry Hall of Iva; uncles, Thomas Shedd (Tara) of Iva, Keith Hall (Marie) of Iva, and Pete Sutherland of Columbia. In addition to Trent's father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kendell Black; paternal grandfather, Willie Black, Jr., and an uncle, Jeff Black. The funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Trent Black will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Greg Moon and Rev. Brandon McManus officiating. Interment will follow at Carswell Baptist Church Cemetery, Iva.
